What’s On My iPhone 7?

I am incredibly nosy and for some reason, I spend a lot of my time watching “What’s On My Phone?” videos on YouTube. I love seeing all the different ways that people organise their apps and I love discovering new apps that I never knew existed before! I don’t have a YouTube channel so I can’t make a video, but I have a blog which is the next best thing, so I thought I’d give it a go and show you guys what’s on my iPhone!

I have an iPhone 7. I’ve had it for one year now. It’s actually only my second ever iPhone. My first iPhone was an iPhone 5 which I bought back in 2013, but sadly had to replace with my iPhone 7 after I accidentally dropped it a few too many times… oops.

This is my lock screen. I absolutely love landscape photography. Every season, I change up my lock screen to match the weather. I know this doesn’t exactly match the season of summer, but I had flowers for spring, so water for summer kind of makes sense. I usually find my lock screens on Tumblr by searching through the tag “nature” or I scroll through one of my favourite blogs: vintageux.tumblr.com.

I know some people like to organise all their apps into specific folders, but I just allocate the first screen for all the important built-in apps and then on the second screen are the apps that I use on a daily basis. My third screen is really irrelevant, I barely use any of the apps on there, mostly educational apps like DuoLingo which I plan to use but never do.

My most used apps

I love photography, so my photo albums are always full with different photos that either stay on my camera roll or find their way to Instagram. I have so many memories and pictures, all the way back to 2013 when I got my first iPhone.

I’m a paperback lover. I love buying books. But I recently started using the iBooks app to read some old classics, like The Beautiful and the Damned, which is completely free! I also like to sample books before I consider buying the paperback. I just finished reading the sample for “The Disaster Artist” which is a book about the worst movie ever, The Room; I really enjoyed it so I’m definitely going to be buying the book!

I love Twitter. I’ve been on Twitter since 2010 and I honestly can’t imagine life without it. I recently made a Twitter for my blog and I’m absolutely loving the community on there – I love talking to new people, discovering new blogs and feeling like I have to place to share my thoughts on blogging with a bunch of lovely people who understand what I’m talking about! follow me: @notesatdusk

I used to be a Snapchat fanatic, but I barely use it anymore and I’m now completely obsessed with Instagram stories! I don’t have an Instagram for my blog, but on my personal Instagram, I love taking pictures of my surroundings and messing around with all the cool features that Instagram has to offer.

I love listening to Podcasts. If I’m cleaning my room, commuting somewhere or trying to get some work done, I always have a podcast on. I’ve been watching The Good Place on Netflix recently, but I’m all caught up with the episodes so I started listening to the podcast to get my weekly fix! If you haven’t watched The Good Place, it’s on Netflix and I highly recommend it!

The only folder that I have on my phone is for all my photography apps. I mostly use VSCO to edit photos and then I use Unfold for Instagram story templates. Sometimes I use Canva to make thumbnails for my blog posts, and I use Planoly to plan my Instagram feed. All great apps that I really recommend!

I haven’t used the apple music app in years. I’m always streaming music on Spotify when I’m studying or writing blog posts. My favourite song right now is God is a woman by Ariana Grande. I just can’t get it out of my head!

Last, but not least, is my favourite new app on my phone: Letterboxd.

I am obsessed with movies and I’m always looking for a way to track what movies I’ve watched and want to watch. Letterboxd is perfect for that! I’ve tracked over 450 films that I’ve watched and have just started keeping a list of what I watch during the year. So far, I’ve watched 21 films in 2018. I think my favourite is definitely Lady Bird and I also went to see Mama Mia 2 a few weeks ago which was SO good, I want to watch it again! Keep up with what I’m watching: https://letterboxd.com/cheriee/.

  1. Ooooh, I loved this post! I was constantly nodding my head and thinking of things to comment. So, here are my comments:
    – I love that you change the lock screen to match the weather/season! I’m going to take your advice and save some pretty nature pictures from Tumblr and Pinterest.
    – Letterboxd! I barely ever see any bloggers talk about it but I LOVE THIS SITE/APP SO MUCH! I’ve followed you! 😀
